lichen on a rock,
that pulsates as I breathe.
Tiny spindles catching
in my hair.
He rambles on about
moving my body,
but I wish this forest
Would just eat me.
Envelope me in
the moss, the ragged
Earth. Compost my
body.
Use it better than he
did. I want to be part
of the mycelium.
Instead of this
relationship. At least
my physical being
would be valued.
